The exception unknown software exception ( 0x0000417 ) occurred in the application at location ( 0x0965f79c )

OK, so I have been searching the web for over three days now and have found several answers. I read that it is memory shortage, and also was told from a friend that played CBA and had the same problem, he said that he had to buy a new PC for it to work because of a device problem.

Also, I have uninstalled and re installed and dl'ed the game several times no success.

Does anyone else know a solution that does not require me to buy a new PC.

Completely replacing a PC cuz of corrupt memory. Cool.

You don't need to spend nearly that much - simply buy and install some new RAM. It isn't hard at all.. in fact, the hardest part is finding a set thats within your budget (and figuring out if you have DDR2 or DDR3).

I DID ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
i figured out how to do it
i dont know if u still need to know but mayby others do

so all u have to do is find your fire wall protecter if u have one
i have McAfee so u go into the security center of your protecter and click restore to defalt and if it asks u things to allow u say allow always if that doesnt work just disable your fire wall and it will work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^This solution works. I restored my firewall to default settings under control panel and I was able to log on.

People this is not a ram issue or a firewall issue or an antivirus issue. This is a COMBAT ARMS issue plain and simple the patch they instituted screwed up the game.
